Escaping from the excitement of the Tour de France, we ventured into Surrey to the Duke's Head, Brockham. There we met up with Mayflower Morris from Ash in Hampshire, who, like us, are a North West morris ladies' side.

The road closures caused by the cyclists made for some interesting journeys but we all made it safely.

Alternating with Mayflower, we performed a standard set of dances but finished with a flourish when we joined Mayflower for a final combined dance.

Brockham is a delightful setting with both the pub and church overlooking a vast village green. When the dancing was concluded, a number of us enjoyed a picnic on the green and soaked up the sunshine. Then it was back home by which time the roads had all reopened.
